º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Community Garden
This year marks the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Community Garden’s 10th growing season. Show your support for the garden by volunteering or buying fresh produce at the weekly farm stand.
Summer 2019 Schedule
- Open Volunteer Hours: Wednesdays, noon–1:30 p.m., Thursdays, 5–7 p.m., weekly through August 15 at the Community Garden (next to Good Nature Farm Brewery)
- Farm Stand: Wednesdays, 4:30–6 p.m. through August 14 at Trudy Fitness Center
- Volunteer Work Party: August 13, 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Community Garden (next to Good Nature Farm Brewery)

Common Thread CSA
The Shaw Wellness Institute and the Office of Sustainability have been working with Common Thread to host an on-campus CSA pickup location this fall. Starting in September, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ community members with Common Thread shares will be able to pick up locally grown produce weekly or biweekly right on campus at the Shaw Wellness Institute at 113 Broad St. Common Thread CSA, a family farm just down the road in Madison, organically grows a wide variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, spinach, winter squash, potatoes, carrots, onions, kale, broccoli, herbs, and much more. They will be delivering customizable boxes of vegetables to campus weekly on Thursday afternoons from the beginning of September through the end of October. Standard shares average about $33/week and small shares $19/week. Payment plans and subsidized shares are available. CSA members also have access to pick your own crops at the farm, such as flowers, cherry tomatoes, herbs, green beans, and hot peppers and will receive weekly e-newsletters from the farm with farm updates and recipe ideas.
