The Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE) thanks the dozens of volunteers, student workers, and everyone who donated reusable items to the Salvage Program this spring. More than 10,000 items, large (couches) and small (paperclips) were collected, sorted, and shared with community partners across Central New York. This represents an approximate total value of $67,680 in donations.

Local food pantries accepted 200 boxes of nonperishable goods to assist families over the coming summer months and 376 bags of clothing will have a second life through the Worn Again program. At the end of student move-out this May, roughly 44 tons of reusable goods were diverted from landfills.
