߲ݴý Alumnus Elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society

The economics department at ߲ݴý is proud to announce that , Class of 1982, was recently elected as a  of the . This is a prestigious appointment, as it “recognizes important contributions to economics, and fellows represent the highest authority of the society.”

Founded in 1930, the Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in relation to statistics and mathematics. Professor Dean Corbae is currently the William Sellery Trukenbrod Chair in finance at the University of Wisconsin School of Business. Professor Don Waldman, professor emeritus, was Dean’s academic adviser at ߲ݴý. Professor Nicole Simpson was fortunate to have Dean as one of her professors while in graduate school.
