Stephanie Tubman ’08 is making a big splash in the world of geology. The ���߲ݴ�ý geology major was recently named a fellow at the American Geosciences Institute (AGI), where she will work in the Critical Issues program.

Stacy Nadeau, a model for the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, is on a mission to help change people’s perceptions. “I want to challenge you to find your own best, healthy self, where mental health and physical health meet in the middle,” she told the audience in Golden Auditorium on March 6. 

���߲ݴ�ý athletes aren’t the only teams that bring home trophies. The Debate Society has had a triumphant season, and this weekend, we will cheer them on as they set out to bring home yet another trophy after competing in the Northeast Regionals at Western Connecticut College.

The W.M. Keck Humanities Resource Center, located in Lawrence Hall, has been transformed from a quiet computer lab to a high-tech space that focuses on foreign language learning. Last Wednesday marked the final campus event for Coming Out Month, with keynote speakers Alexis Gumbs and Julia Wallace, founders of an oral history project called Mobile Homecoming. Focused on giving a voice to gay black women, trans men, and gender queer visionaries, Mobile Homecoming involved collecting the oral histories of the LGBTQ community.

The acceptance rate for law schools among ���߲ݴ�ý students in fall 2012 was 94 percent, far surpassing the 75 percent national average. One way the Center for Career Services helps students succeed in this post-graduate arena is through the annual Law School Fair.
