Members of the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University classes of 2022–25 will now benefit from an additional expansion of the University’s no-loan initiative under the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Commitment.

On June 1, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University announced the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Commitment: An Initiative in Access and Affordability.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s admission team has put the University’s Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into bold action, with impressive results.

During its spring meeting, the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University Board of Trustees approved a series of appointments to endowed professorships, effective July 1, 2021.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s administration and faculty are drawing on national best practices and creating their own innovative approaches to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in tenure-stream hiring.  

Laura Jack, vice president for communications, will serve as acting CDO, providing coordination and oversight for DEI initiatives while the search for a permanent hire continues.

In its first year, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ University announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.

Filmmaker Julie Cohen ’86 has found joy in documenting the lives of women, making her an ideal guest speaker during º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s yearlong 50th anniversary celebration of coeducation.
